This is the online home for CultureSource. We are a professional association comprised of 115+ organizations serving the region as nonprofit enterprises for the arts and culture.
We work to advance the missions and works of each of our members by helping them connect with new people and audiences, with each other, and with new opportunities.
Mark your calendar for April 24, our Re:Source 2013 annual conference. It is no longer our annual meeting — it is much more! The morning sessions are all about how we, the cultural sector, connect with community. Douglas Borwick, author of Building Communities, Not Audiences: The Future of the Arts in the U.S., will give the opening keynote about how cultural organizations engage people in our missions, to build awareness and support. You will also get to see an original theatre production that Matrix Theatre and Plowshares Theatre are creating for our partnership with local governments (SEMCOG). We are using our creativity to make regional sustainability issues personal for people, to talk about how changing times call for different ways of working together as a community. The morning will provide food for thought for CEOs, board members and development professionals. You will also be interested in our lunch session about Power2Give, an online resource for raising money for your projects. It's all about institutional marketing and positioning your organization for success.
