The opening reception of the photography exhibit is the first event of a four-day conference which attracts camera collectors, historians and photographers from around the country and Canada. "Washtenaw through the Lens" features work by four members of the Ann Arbor Women Artists Association: Fred Beutler, Travis Erby, Sophie Grillet and Sally Silvennoinen. Their mission was to "share with you an artistic view of our county through the lens of our cameras. We seek out images from a different angle, take a closer look or chance upon something familiar to see through renewed eyes."
