The Michigan History Center continues its Rock Your Mocs series in January and February with a special screening of the 2017 feature film Wind River, followed by a panel discussion.

In this special three-hour program, program facilitators will use a screening Wind River to set the stage for a much larger and more in-depth discussion on the contemporary Native issues touched on in the film. After the screening, Eric Hemenway, Director of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians Department of Repatriation, Archives and Records, will host a group discussion about the film and moderate a panel discussion that will provide more in-depth information regarding missing Native women in Michigan.

Please be advised that this film is Rated R for strong violence, disturbing images, and language and is not recommended for children 17 and under.
