This concert is a tribute to the season of love. The title work "Love and Laughter" is a debut performance of a new work commissioned by Madrigal Chorale in honor of their Artistic Director of 28 years, Dr. Robert A. Martin. The words of a poem written by Paul Laurence Dunbar are set to a full orchestral accompaniment written by Dr. Brandon Ulrich, a local conductor, composer, arranger, and music teacher. Also part of the concert afternoon will be "Te Deum" by Anton Bruckner. This much performed work is a song of praise and prayer to God.
