March 18th
1-3pm
Join us for two self-portrait drawing exercises using touch and sensation to draw the body. This workshop takes an unconventional look at the tradition of life-drawing; introducing participants to creative approaches that do not rely on the visual.

The group will discuss portraiture of artists in the collection, like Kara Walker, as well as contemporary works by Maria Lassnig and Louise Bourgeois. Each participant will leave with several figural abstractions in chalk pastel on textured paper, and engage in relaxed discussions and meditations on feminist approaches to figuration and tactility in art. All experience levels are welcome!"
