Students will learn how to make and then take home a wooden spoon and spatula they've made themselves. Students will learn the techniques required for carving out a spoon bowl, and using sanding techniques and rasps to finish their creations.

Dave Maran is a lifelong woodworker and sole owner and operator of Gezr Rocks, where he makes wooden instruments from reclaimed materials. Dave is a resident of the Ponyride woodshop, a graduate of Lawrence Technological University and a retiree of Ford/Visteon.
