Job Description:

Meadow Brook Theatre, Michigan’s largest professional producing Broadway-quality theatre, is seeking a Marketing Coordinator. This role is a highly-autonomous and ideal for a self-starter, working directly under the supervision of MBT Managing Director. MBT’s Marketing Coordinator is responsible for marketing, press releases and media relations, social media management and design of the theatre’s playbills and advertisements. 

The Meadow Brook Theatre Marketing Coordinator works with the MBT Directors to strategize and implement all communication, media relations, social media and marketing efforts. This role is a highly-autonomous and ideal for a self-starter, working directly under the supervision of MBT Managing Director. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Must be proficient in InDesign to design and coordinate production of all promotional materials, including but not limited to:
    • Playbill for 7 Productions
    • Advertisements
    • Posters
    • Postcards
    • Brochures
    • Banners
    • Lobby displays
    • Dramaturgical information
    • Business cards
    • Flyers
    • Note cards
    • Give-a-way items
    • Specialty playbills
    • Program stuffers
    • Hand-outs
    • Raffle tickets
  • Coordinate printing for in-house communications as well as donor and season ticket holder communications including but not limited to:
    • Envelopes
    • Forms
    • Acknowledgements
    • Solicitation letters
    • Surveys
  • Serve as press liaison, create, communicate and distribute information to local media outlets.
  • Write and distribute press releases.
  • Promote and announce news and events.
  • Schedule and facilitate interviews.
  • Website and social media maintenance
    • Update and maintain website content each season
    • Maintain upcoming event content on website
    • Daily management, content creation and posting on social media outlets; Intsagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest
  • Evaluate additional social media avenues
  • Maintain community outreach efforts.
    • Identify, create and organize ticket offers and special promotions to attract new customers.
    • Identify, create and organize complimentary ticket offers.
  • Maintain campus outreach efforts.
  • Assist with Ticket Sales, Group Sales and Customer Relations.
    • Work in MBT's Box office as needed. Some evenings and weekends will be required.
  • Works directly with Development Director to assist with organization outreach and distribution of fundraising materials.
    • Plan and execute donor and special events.
    • Play a leadership role in the planning of Concert and Cuisine, MBT's summer benefit event.
    • Organize and maintain donor database.
    • Maintain system for tracking donors, charitable contributions and measuring outcomes.
  • Assist Meadow Brook Theatre Guild with design and coordination of postcards, brochures, posters and other materials.
  • Attend Meadow Brook Theatre fundraising and donor acknowledgement events.
  • Maintain marketing calendar for theatre season.
