DESCRIPTION:

One part-time, paid internship ($10/hr), working 18 hours per week, on-site, through September 6, 2019. This position is available immediately and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Cranbrook Art Museum (CAM) seeks enthusiastic and organized undergraduate and graduate students or recent graduates to assist its curators in the administrative support of an upcoming curatorial project.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Preliminary archival and scholarly research, correspondence with peer instutions and galleries, document transcription, and other related administrative tasks as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

REQUIREMENTS:

BA in art history or related field; strong research skills; administrative and museum experience; strong knowledge of modern and contemporary art, craft, and/or design is required. Current graduate study preferred; experience in exhibition-making, including checklist building, formal correspondence with museums and galleries, image rights, database proficiency, and other relevant skills also preferred.
